StreetScape Ministries

Not Here to Compete, Rather Compliment.

From the beginning, StreetScape Ministries was never meant to replace or compete with other nonprofits in Galveston. Our heart has always been to fill in the gaps, serve when others can’t, and partner with the many incredible organizations already doing great work. We regularly refer our guests to trusted partners like: St. Vincent’s House, Catholic Charities, Our Daily Bread, and the Salvation Army, and are grateful for the role they play in the community.

We’ve intentionally structured our service days as M-W-F to complement Galveston Central Church (33rd & O1/2), which operates on Tues/Thurs. This shared rhythm ensures that meals, showers, laundry, clothing, and support are accessible five days a week. On Saturdays, outreach is offered by Galveston Street Ministry (20th & Winnie), and on Sundays, we, and many churches step in to care for those in need.

We see both StreetScape, Our Daily Bread, Galveston Central Church (during the day) & Salvation Army (overnight) as Step 1—offering a consistent escape from the streets, even if only for part of the day. From there, we aim to connect individuals to Step 2, specialized services, case management, shelters, rehab programs, and transitional housing; and then ultimately, Step 3, employment, long-term housing, and lasting self-sufficiency. Every step matters, and every partnership is part of the solution.

We believe in a kingdom model of collaboration, where each ministry brings its unique gift to the table so that, together, we can move people forward and off the streets for good.
